Silicon Valley
Silicon Valley is the southern region of the San Francisco Bay Area. Another term often used to describe this region is The Peninsula. The center of this region is Santa Clara Valley. It is home to many of the world's largest technology corporations as well as thousands of small startups. It is considered to be the technology hub of the United States. This region of the Bay Area accounts for over one-third (1/3) of all the venture capital investment in the U.S. The quality of life for those who live here is extreme. Here are some examples; world class universities – Stanford and Santa Clara; an equestrian community centered in Woodside; top Bay Area dining; and, a deep sense of community.
