Alamo
This is one of the sought after East Bay communities to live in. It was listed recently as one of the Top 100 cities in the U.S. for quality of life within a semi-rural, low-density residential area. Most homes are on ½ acre lots or more. It has about 16,000 residents and is governed by the Contra Costa Board of Supervisors. The schools and quality of life are some of the highest ranked in the state. Mt. Diablo State Park access is right in the middle of this community at the end of Green Valley Road. The Ironhorse Trail runs right through the community connecting the entire Valley for walkers, runners and bicycles. It is a quiet community that plans to stay small.
